Coherence-variance attribute is applied in 3-dimensions and they represent trace-to-trace variability over a region and produces interpretable lateral changes in acoustic impedance.

To apply this attribute, go to ‘volume attributes’ under the ‘Processes’ tab and double click. Select the ‘Structural methods’ category and ‘Variance (edge)’ attribute. Input the seismic volume cube. First apply with preset parameters. If the features are not as desired, manipulate the parameters and ‘Apply’
