Structural Smoothing

Structural smoothing is done to reduce the noise and enhance the faults and fractures. To apply structural smoothing to the seismic data, select ‘volume attributes’ under the ‘Processes’ tab and double click. Select the ‘All’ category and ‘Structural smoothing’ attribute. Input the seismic volume cube. First apply with preset parameters. If the features are not as desired, manipulate the parameters and ‘Apply’.
